The Foundation for Survivorship Science
Equity in survivorship, powered by science
Our Mission
The Foundation for Survivorship Science exists to accelerate the science, clinical innovation, and real‑world delivery of neuromodulation therapies. We work to close the gap between what research has already demonstrated as effective and what patients can reliably access in their daily lives. Through rigorous studies, community partnerships, and scalable care models, we aim to bring advanced, evidence‑supported interventions to the people who need them most.
How we create impact
The Foundation for Survivorship Science, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit, provides neuromodulation services, EEG‑based neuroimaging, and comprehensive brain‑health assessments at reduced or no cost for cancer survivors who qualify for financial assistance. This charitable work ensures that individuals facing economic hardship can still access evidence‑supported interventions that meaningfully improve quality of life.
In addition to direct services, the Foundation conducts ongoing scientific research to deepen understanding of how neuromodulation affects the brain and nervous system. Our studies generate data that inform and refine treatment models, with the goal of optimizing care for survivors and advancing the broader field of brain‑health science.
The Foundation also offers educational programming, including mentoring, training, and seminars for healthcare providers who wish to learn how to deliver neuromodulation and EEG‑informed services effectively. These efforts support the dissemination of best practices and help clinicians tailor interventions to the needs of their patients.
The problem is not lack of science - it's a lack of translation
Our goal is to shorten the distance between discovery and access, making sure that people living with treatment-related symptoms can benefit from the most advanced tools possible. At the same time, we remain deeply committed to research. By continuing to study these interventions in real-world settings, we refine our methods, update our findings, and ensure that our approaches stay at the forefront of innovation in survivorship care.
